Vladimir Putin’s unprovoked attack on Ukraine has rightly horrified the world. Alan stands with the Ukrainian people and their President, whose defiance, courage and patriotism in the face of aggression is inspiring.
In Parliament, Alan has backed the actions taken by our Government to lead the world in supporting Ukraine by both providing military aid and isolating Russia through the imposition of sanctions aimed at crippling its economy and war machine.
Locally, he has helped Havant-based charity Stella’s Voice find a base in the Meridian Centre (pictured above) to use as a collection point for donations from residents. He has also visited their warehouse on New Lane to thank volunteers helping to pack goods for onward transport from Havant to the Moldova/Ukraine border.
Support for Ukraine from local residents has been outstanding. You can continue this support by donating to Stella’s Voice here or through the Government-backed Disasters Emergency Committee fundraising appeal here.
