I’m visible and active in Leigh Park all year round. My work for Leigh Park residents, locally and in Westminster, includes:

• Voting for March’s Budget which cuts tax for workers, protects the State Pension Triple Lock, freezes fuel and alcohol duty, expands Child Benefit, and invests in our NHS. Combined with January’s National Insurance tax cut, the Budget puts £900 back into the pocket of the average worker.

• Boosting funding for Hampshire Police to start a new Named Local Bobby Scheme, which means all Leigh Park residents now have a named police officer covering their street, and access to their e-mail and mobile number. Your Leigh Park police are more contactable than ever before.

• Successfully securing £58million for a new Emergency Department/A&E at Queen Alexandra Hospital, which serves everyone in Leigh Park. It’s due to open this winter.

•  Increasing cash funding for every primary and secondary school in Leigh Park. I also visit and stay in touch with them regularly.

•  Organising my popular annual Jobs & Apprenticeships Fair at Leigh Park Community Centre, which helps residents looking for work and careers advice. My 9th annual Fair takes place later this year. Sign up for my newsletter to receive information.

•  Helping to start a breakfast club at Havant Academy which provides free food for up to 100 pupils each school day, so pupils go into lessons ready to learn without feeling hungry.

• Extending the £2 single bus fare cap until the end of 2024, making bus travel cheaper for Leigh Park residents.

• As Vice President of Havant & Waterlooville Football Club, I continue to support the Hawks and I spoke up for them when they were fighting for a play-off place during the COVID pandemic.

• Launching my Tree Planting Challenge, supported by the Woodland Trust, to plant more trees to improve our environment.
