The hugely popular Havant Older Persons Information Fair will take place this summer on a much bigger scale at a The Beacon at the Meridian Centre in Havant. This year the Havant Community Groups and Older Persons Information Fair will bring all members of the community together.
Organised by local MP Alan Mak, last year the event attracted more 1,000 visitors interested in finding out more about the range of services that are on offer to senior citizens across the constituency.
Taking place on Thursday 4th July from 10am to 2pm, it is expected to feature exhibitors who provide help, support or activities for both older people and other members of the community, from statutory bodies to charities to community groups and clubs. Those confirmed as attending include charities, health care providers, community groups and information providers.
The Fair is open to everyone and no prior registration or booking is needed, with attendees encouraged to drop-in anytime on the day.
Local MP Alan Mak said: “Last year my first Older Persons Information Fair was a big success, and proved popular in the community, so I decided to make it bigger. It should be a great day showcasing the very best of what Havant has to offer its residents as well as signposting essential services.
“Hopefully, the Fair will be as fantastically supported as last year, and I hope to meet many residents again on the day.”
