Protect our Northern Ireland Veterans from prosecution

Local MP Alan Mak has launched a petition calling on the Labour Government to protect our Northern Ireland Veterans from prosecution. Please sign Alan's petition below.

Labour are planning to tear up the Legacy & Reconciliation Act passed by the last Conservative government which protects our Northern Ireland veterans.

Labour's plan means:

  • Immunity from prosecution for our veterans could be abolished

  • Our veterans could be hounded as old cases are re-opened on the basis of vexatious claims from IRA terrorists; AND

  • Gerry Adams and IRA supporters could receive millions in compensation, funded by British taxpayers

This is two-tier justice – compensation for the IRA – prosecution for our veterans. This is wrong.

I will vote oppose Labour’s plans and stand with our veterans.

Our veterans protected us, and I believe we should protect them. Please sign my petition.
